Movember 2010

As of the 1st of November I have stopped shaving my upper lip. I expect no one will notice for quite some time as I am simply not a hairy chap. And why? Well, for the first time in my life I have decided to support Movember.Movember has that sole aim of raising funds and awareness for men’s health. The recipients of these funds are the Cancer Society (with an emphasis on prostate cancer) and the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand (with an emphasis on  men’s depression).I am not going to be asking for sponsorship as I am uncertain about lasting the full 30 days (this is after all my first attempt at growing facial hair ever) but will be making a donation.In the interests of posterity, here’s the first photo. I will post progress shots as the month progresses. Prepare to be astounded. I know I will be if I manage to grow anything beyond a slight befuzzling.thanks everyone, and do make a contribution if you can.Simon.
