Of The Chiropractice
For the last six weeks, I’ve been experiencing chiropractic care from Dr. Alex Rodwell of The Chiropractice. And I didn’t make it easy for him.I openly admit that I’m a skeptic. I remember the very first time I visited his clinic, and stood in the corner of the room observing. He didn’t appear to be doing anything to those lying on the tables. A light touch here, an instruction there, and the occasional ‘ping’ with some sort of device. What was this??My previous experience with Chiropractors was one of being grappled and manipulated, with sickening cracks and creaks being created. Surely that hands-on approach was actually accomplishing something? So, when Alex challenged me to put him to the test, I did.Day One. The initial consultation. Alex gave me a very clear and detailed explanation about how pretty much everything about our physiology is determined by the condition of the spine and nervous system. He imaged and analysed my posture, took a thermal scan of nerve activity in my spine and a number of other metrics. He also got me to fill out a questionnaire to note how I was feeling from a wellness perspective. Happily I didn’t have any unpleasant pre-menstrual stresses to note. Here’s a pic of the Thermal scan showing nerve activity. You’ll see that years of sedentary work has taken its toll on my lower back and the point where the spine connects with my skull.
Then on to 12 sessions of adjustment. You lie on a table and relax. In a room with five other tables. You’re fully clothed and benefit from a vibe of mutual healing. I didn’t find it weird or uncomfortable at all.On completion of that course of treatment we had another consult. Posture, scans etc. Here is the ‘after’ pic of the nerve activity.
You’ll see that things are settling down quite nicely.Other key points - my posture has improved markedly. My muscular system is starting to come back into alignment. Pretty much a remarkable change.I’ve noticed a huge reduction in the number of headaches I have due to sitting. My shoulders aren’t as tight as they were. I’ve noticed I’m walking a lot freer. I’ve noticed that I’m more aware of what my body needs, for example when I’m needing to re-hydrate. This is something that previously I wouldn’t have noticed. I have more energy. So, I’m continuing with the adjustments. The amount of improvement I’ve seen suggests that it’s well worthwhile.I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Alex Rodwell’s care.- S
