Of Mr Pudding

Crap. It’s August already. And Mr Pudding has turned up.I've been developing a new business since January and things such as an exercise regimen have gone completely out of the window. Important things.And seeing as I’m still loving my cooking (and eating) and continuing to indulge my love of all things cheese and wine, I’ve started to protrude. Well. By "started", I mean “build further on the infrastructure that was in place”. Profoundly.Splitting the crotch of my jeans at a dinner party recently was a fairly clear signal.I need a new fitness challenge and goal.Now, I absolutely HATE going to the gym. I know I had a routine there for a while that was beneficial, but it’s not a happy place for this man.I’ve thought about it. I’m not likely to stop cooking. I’m not likely to stop eating. I am not likely to stop savoring fine cheese and fine wine. So, the only thing I can do really, is to add decent exercise to my day.So, for the month of August, I shall be walking (initially) at least 5km per day, with a goal of being able to run the 5km by the end of the month.Every day.My thinking is that this will establish a habit that will stick.Hopefully.- S
