Of Young Love

Ah to be young again. Actually, I’m feeling fairly juvenile (apart from the aging body) these days, but the sentiment is there...Here’s a story.A friend of mine recently broke up with his lady.“It was mutual”, he told me.He’s a good-looking lad, about 23, over 6ft (bastard), sporty, creative. Quite the catch really. He’d been with this girl since he was 16-17, so this was a big thing.And he’s a bit lost...His problem is not that he can’t talk to girls, or that girls won’t talk to him and give him their numbers. It’s just that he’s afraid that they’ll like him too much where it’s not reciprocated, and he, being a nice guy, doesn’t want them to get hurt.Another growing problem is that, after three weeks of singledom, he’s starting to miss his Ex. Of course, she’s now doing precisely the opposite of what she did when she was with him. For example, she’s now going out, when previously, when with him, she wouldn’t.So, what advice should I give him? He is a little gun-shy. And not entirely sure what approach he should take.Ladies?
